De Wijnen.

De wijnen welke wij op dit moment in ons assortiment hebben, komen grotendeels van de Rimu Grove. De Rimu Grove is een kleine familie wijnboerderij in Nieuw Zeeland. De Rimu Grove wijnboerderij ligt in het wijngebied rondom Nelson. De soorten bestaan uit een scala aan rode en witte wijnen. Zo produceert Rimu Grove onder andere de volgende fantastische wijnen; een Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris en een aantal Bronte varianten. De Rimu Grove wijnen omarmen het avontuur en de unieke levensstijl die toebehoren aan Nieuw Zeeland.
Proef de smaak van het ultieme erfgoed van Nieuw Zeeland in deze prachtige wijnen.

Naast de Rimu Grove Wijnen hebben we NIEUW in het assortiment een aantal prachtige Italiaanse wijnen uit Sicilië. Op de kleine wijngaard van de familie Tola worden deze volbloed wijnen met veel vakmanschap, liefde en enthousiasme geproduceerd.
De zeer interessant geprijsde witte Catarratto en Grillo wijn tesamen met de twee rode wijnen van respectievelijk de Nero d'Avola en de Syrah druif laten u kennis maken met het vakmanschap van de familie Tola.
De Tola wijnen nodigen u uit om de volmondige smaak van de jong gerijpte fruitige Siciliaanse druiven te ondervinden. Deze druiven vinden hun oorsprong op de glooiende heuvels van Sicilië en zijn gerijpt door de twinkelende Italiaanse zon. In het smaakboeket proeft u Siciliaanse aroma's in een harmonisch samenspel met “tropical fruits” en specerijen.

100% barrel fermented in French oak (35% new)

Grapes were picked by hand and whole-bunch pressed,
followed by cool fermentation in 225L barriques.
The wine was routinely barrel-stirred on full lees for 11 months.

Tasting Notes: Lively pear, citrus, apple and mineral aromatics and flavours.  Fresh and vibrant; smooth, round and generous on the palate.  Nicely layered with elegant oak notes followed by a long, impressive finish.  A true classic in the style of Burgundy .  Drink now through 2015.

100% fruit from the Rimu Grove Estate Vineyard. Mix of seven clones: 10/5, UCD 5 & 6, 114, 115, 667, 777. Barrel aged in French oak for 10 months (34% new oak).
Grapes were picked by hand and cold-soaked for 5 days. Wine was fermented in small open-top fermentation vats, hand-plunged 3 times daily. Wine was bottled course-filtered.

Tasting Notes: An array of complex aromas: Blueberry, black currant, blackberry, cinnamon, sage, roses and violets.  Ultra-concentrated sweet ripe fruity flavours with earthy, savoury notes and hints of spice, finished with silky fine-grained tannins that spread throughout the palate.

This wine was produced from Awatere Valley-grown fruit which underwent 100% whole-cluster pressing. 20% aged sur lie in aged French oak barrels for 4 months, 80% aged sur lie in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes: Tropical fruit, floral, spicy aromas with concentrated flavours of pears and spice. The wine was vinified to preserve the fresh, fruity aromas and provide an off-dry, fruity, full-bodied taste.

15% aged sur lie in aged French oak barrels for 4 months,

Tasting Notes:
Classic aromas mix ripe tropical fruit, citrus, and pear with hints of spice and minerality; fruit-forward, medium body with roundness and a pleasant mouthfeel; good balance; finish is long, clean, spicy and mouthwatering.

LAZY CROC Rosé 2009.



De Australische Lazy Croc laat u heerlijk in het zonnetje relaxen en zal u tot rust brengen. De druiven komen uit het Zuid Oostelijke deel van Australië. Hij proeft fruitig en fris met een vleugje aardbei en framboos aroma’s.

Muddy Water Waipara Pinot Noir Rosé 2008.

Deze heerlijke Rose is helder roze van kleur en bevat een hoge kwaliteit Pinot Noir druiven tesamen met een mix van bessen en pruimen. Vers frisse smaak, licht zoet en levendig met een vleugje complexiteit en een iets aanhoudende afdronk.
